Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-02. These terms are written to be readable; a court would probably still laugh at lawyers who can't.

1. What you get

Invitatu provides online games and game-based invitation tools "as they are". Playing every level is free. Creating an invitation is free; sending one to guests requires a share unlock, currently a flat $5 one-time fee per invitation via PayPal (occasionally waived during beta). One unlock applies to one invitation on the device and browser used to purchase it; if you lose that browser state, contact support with your payment receipt and we will help restore it.

2. Invitations and expiry

Invitation links stay available until 2 days after the event date entered at creation, after which they stop serving. Do not enter anyone's personal data beyond what the party needs (first names, party logistics). You are responsible for the invitation text you create and for sharing the link only where you may.

3. Acceptable use

Be a good guest in someone else's internet: no automated scraping of the games or APIs at scale, no attempts to break the payment unlock, no uploading illegal or harmful content in invitation fields, no using the service to impersonate others. We may throttle or stop abuse to protect everyone else's parties.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by PayPal. Because the share unlock is digital and immediate, we cannot refund an unlock that has already been used to send invitations - but if the feature genuinely failed you (broken link we could not fix, double charge, accidental purchase before sharing), email support@invitatu.app within 14 days and we will make it right, including refunds where warranted. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.

5. Intellectual property

The games, art, levels and code are original works of Invitatu. You may share your invitation link freely - that's the point - but please don't copy, resell or rehost the games themselves. Your party details belong to you.

6. Liability

We run the games diligently, but they are provided without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Invitatu is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service. If a party goes wrong, we'll apologize sincerely and refund honestly - that's the cap.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the product grows; material changes get a date bump and, where sensible, an email to the address we have from your payment. Continued use means you accept the current terms.
